Canobie Lake Park - Give A Hand Award 2011Representatives of Canobie Lake Park, a family amusement park in Salem, NH, recently received the first RMHC of Eastern New England Give A Hand award at the park during the RMHC of Eastern New England's 25th Birthday Celebration hosted by Canobie Lake Park. Over 1000 children and their caregivers from local non-profits attending the birthday celebration.
Canobie Lake Park has been supporting RMHC of ENE through annual donation with funds raised through a partnership which offered Canobie Lake Park coupons during the summer in over 300 McDonald’s in eastern New England. Over the years, Canobie Lake Park has teamed with local McDonald’s Owner/Operators to support RMHC of Eastern New England and has donated over $450,000 to the charity.
Canobie Lake Park is one of New England’s oldest and most beautiful amusement parks and has been operating since 1902 with nearly 90 rides, games, live entertainment and attractions. The Park looks forward to continuing its long tradition of delivering the very best in family entertainment well into its second century.
Women and Infants Hospital - Providence, RIRonald
McDonald House Charities of Eastern New England (RMHC of ENE) recently awarded
a $23,153 grant to Women & Infants Hospital to purchase seven infant
warmers for the Labor, Delivery and Recovery Unit. This is the 4th grant RMHC
of ENE has given to Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, RI for a total
of over $85,000. New
radiant warmers will be placed in each of the hospital’s 19 labor and delivery
rooms as part of a renovation project to modernize the rooms as well as equipment.
The project will also create more room for patients and caregivers.

McDonald House Charities of Eastern New England, as well as the many local
franchise owners of McDonald’s restaurants,” says Karen A. Davie, President of
the Women & Infants Development Foundation. |
