Hello from RMH Boston Harbor!
This fall New England weather means back to school! This past month we launched our newest volunteer initiative, our College Ambassador program. Are you a college student looking to raise awareness and funds for RMH on campus? Be sure to read below to see how you can start an ambassador program on your campus!
Have you ever wondered what a day in the life of an RMH Boston Harbor family looks like? This past month the Newman family took over our Instagram for a day to show what their life was like living at the House while receiving treatment at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, which is located right next door to RMH Boston Harbor. Every family who stays with us has a unique story, but what every family has in common is the opportunity to participate in our daily activities and support services. Take a look at our Instagram and read the Newman’s story featured in this month’s newsletter.
We ended September by holding our first ever Ronald McDonald House Golf Tournament followed by a Corn Hole Tournament put on by our young professional board, the Red Shoe Society. Both events were a wonderful success raising critical funds for our House. Speaking of raising critical funds, we are thrilled to be apart of the John Hancock Boston Marathon non-profit program for our 3rd year in a row. Our Boston Marathon team fully funds two of our apartments for per year. Is the prestigious Boston Marathon on your bucket list? Be sure to fill out an application to join our 2019 RMH Boston Marathon Team!
