Meet Malachi Beauchamp!
“We wouldn’t be where we are in Malachi’s life right now without the support of RMH.”
It was a huge relief to get the call that we had a place to stay at RMH Boston Harbor. This is a home away from home and we’re part of a family with the staff, other families, and kids. When I got here I felt safe, I called my husband and said, “I feel safe.”
All RMHs take care of the parents. Having an individual apartment is super nice. It’s nice to have our own space where Malachi can watch TV and I can go into another room. We can have personal family time and still spend time with other parents if we want.
We loved meeting Bentley, we enjoyed the Community Space, sitting on the balcony, the huge playground, and the accessibility for a water taxi.
My advice to families coming to Boston is keep pushing forward, no matter what you have to do for your child’s health and benefit. Just because you choose to do something different doesn’t mean it’s wrong.
